Tire Discounters donates $69K to ‘May We Help’

April 9, 2013

Tire Discounters Inc. has donated $69,100 to May We Help, a charity dedicated to providing unique solutions to those with physical disabilities. The donation is a result of a 2012 promotion with the Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball team.

The Cincinnati-based company determined the amount of the contribution based on the 691 runs the Reds scored throughout the 2012 regular and post-season.

May We Help is a non-profit organization of engineers and other skilled volunteers focused on  creating customized devices and adaptations for people with specific needs at no cost to them. Volunteers work with the organization to invent, modify or adapt devices that can enable people with unique disabilities to pursue their passions and improve their quality of life.

“Tire Discounters is proud to be able to make such a sizeable contribution to May We Help, a unique organization that makes a difference in peoples' lives every day,” says Jamie Ward, Tire Discounters executive vice president.

“By partnering with the Reds, we're able to make our contribution to such an important cause, while exposing May We Help to thousands throughout the region on the Reds’ radio network. We look forward to another successful 2013 Reds season which will result in more success for May We Help.”

Tire Discounters currently has a total of 81 locations throughout the Midwest with plans for opening additional stores in the next several years. The company is No. 10 on the 2012 MTD 100 list of top independent tire dealers.
