How low can prices go? You told us pretty low!

Jan. 7, 2013

Our dealers have spoken. In response to a blog by Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich about an NTB ad and its $39.99 tire, we posted a Web poll to find out what you thought about selling at that price point.

In our poll, we asked you which of the following five prices came closest to your lowest tire price: $9.99, $39.99, $59.99, $79.99 or $99.99.

The winner was $59.99, with 44% of the vote. Did anyone agree with NTB? Here are the results:

$9.99: 13.7%.

$39.99: $15%.

$59.99: 44%.

$79.99: 19.1%.

$99.99: 8.2%.

Does the response to $9.99 surprise you? How about to $99.99? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment!

And check out the latest Web poll: "How will the $16 trillion national debt affect your business?" The potential answers are, at the very least, entertaining.

The Web poll question is located on the right-hand side of the Modern Tire Dealer home page under "Web Poll: Sponsored by Bridgestone" (after you scroll down a little).
