Midtown Tire relocates to larger facility

March 12, 2009

Midtown Tire Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., reports it has moved to a larger warehouse and distribution facility  to position itself logistically and strategically to meet the future demands of its customers in the Rochester area and throughout upstate and western New York.

The move gives the wholesale tire distributor 105,000 square feet of space, a 66% increase over the 63,000 square feet at its former location.

Midtown Tire distributes Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton, Fuzion, Toyo, Nokian, Delta and Hercules brand tires as well as a complete line of farm, truck, trailer, lawn and garden tires and tubes.

It has additional distribution centers in Syracuse and Buffalo, N.Y., and serves customers throughout upstate and western New York and in Pennsylvania.

The company reports sales growth of 67% since 2005, and has 50 employees at the Rochester facility.

"The larger space helps us better accomodate our very extensive inventory of tires and enables our staff to find them and ship them quickly and easily," says Midtown Tire president Tony Sagona.

Midtown Tire carries an inventory of close to 2,000 tire sizes and is a Bridgestone "certified run-flat" tire distributor. It was founded in Rochester in 1962. Sagona assumed ownership in 1983.
