Jerry’s Tire, a five-location tire dealership based in Lake Odessa, Mich., is celebrating its 50th year as a Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. customer.

The independent, family-owned owned dealership sells Goodyear commercial tires, as well as Goodyear consumer tires. It also retreads truck tires using Goodyear’s exclusive UniCircle and precure processes, and offers 24/7 emergency roadside service and other services through Goodyear’s fleetHQ business solutions program.

In addition, Jerry’s Tire offers a complete menu of truck maintenance services, including alignments and wheel reconditioning. Jerry’s Tire was founded by Jerry Carpenter in 1948. The company began selling Goodyear tires in 1962.

“We’ve been proud Goodyear dealers ever since,” says Mark Carpenter, Jerry Carpenter’s son and the company’s current president. “Goodyear has always led the way in tire technology, and its product and service offerings are second to none.”

The dealership caters to trucking fleets and owner-operators at its five Michigan locations in Lake Odessa, Flint, Wyoming, Sturgis and Saginaw.

“Fleet owners and owner-operators are extremely sophisticated businesspeople and want to see hard numbers. We have to back up what we do with facts and figures, and Goodyear helps us do that.”

“Jerry’s Tire has built its business by offering customers premium products and by providing excellent service,” says Doug Whittington, director of sales, Goodyear Commercial Tire Systems. “We value this great company’s loyalty, and are proud to count it as a customer.”
