Nexen Tire Corp., the Korean parent company of Nexen Tire America Inc., will be a partner of the Bundesliga soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt starting in the coming 2012-13 season.
Heribert Bruchhagen, chairman of Eintracht Frankfurt, and John Bosco Kim, managing director of Nexen Tire Europe GmbH headquartered in Eschborn, Germany, signed the agreement in Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena on May 8, 2012.
Eintracht Frankfurt is the “dream partner” for Nexen’s Managing Director. That’s what John Bosco Kim said after signing the agreement since Eintracht is an ambitious traditional soccer club that matches Nexen’s growth strategy in Germany and Europe. “We have been planning our commitment to Eintracht for a long time and we are happy that its launch is coinciding with them ascending directly into the highest German division.”
The partnership agreement not only includes placing advertising banners with panel rotation, business seats and season tickets, but also advertisements in the stadium magazine.
