SURE Tire enters 2012 in a growth mode

Jan. 4, 2012

SURE Tire Co. sure has been busy the last few months. Since the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Assocation) Show, the group has added two members.

That brings the number of members to 21. The new members are:

1. Total Tire/Tread Pro Group, Kelowna, B.C. The five-outlet dealrship (which also has locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Prince George) is SURE Tire's first member in Canada.

"We are eagerly seeking distribution in other areas of Canada," says President Pat McLaughlin.

2. Northwest Tire Factory, Portland, Ore., a member-owned organization of independent tire dealers with more than 200 retail locations serving 15 western states.

SURE Tire also introduced its Summit Mud Hog light truck tire at the SEMA Show. McLaughlin describes the Mud Hog as an "extreme off-road mud tire." It is manufactured in Indonesia.

"The Mud Hog is doing very well for us," he adds.

Prior to the show, SURE Tire signed Greenball Corp. as a distributor. Greenball was granted the exclusive distribution rights to several lines of Summit tires in the state of California; in addition, Greenball is wholesaling Summit tires in Arizona and Nevada (see "Greenball will distribute Summit tires for SURE").
