Nexen Tire Corp. will supply Kia Corp. with two tire fitments for the automaker's first electric car, the EV6.
Nexen's Roadian GTX EV and N'Fera Sport EV are both original equipment fitments on the Kia EV6, a vehicle based on Hyundai Motor Group's electric global modular platform.
The RoadianGTX EV, in size 235/55R19 101H, provides an all-season fitment that focuses on safety, durability and low noise. The N'Fera Sport EV tire, in size 235/55R19 105V XL, improves high-speed stability and handling performance while providing grip and braking power on both wet and dry surfaces.
Both EV tires were tailored to provide more abrasion resistance while also minimizing tire road noise.
In addition to the EV6, Nexen is supplying tires for the Kia Soul EV, as well as the EV startup Canoo.
