Nexen Earns Kia EV6 Fitment

Kia has selected the Nexen N'Fera Supreme S to be original equipment (OE) on its EV6.

"Engineered to handle the instant torque and dynamic loads characteristic of electric vehicles, the N’FERA Supreme S delivers responsive handling, long-lasting traction and energy-efficient rolling performance," say Nexen officials.

"The groundbreaking tire has integrated Silent Ride technology, a proprietary layer of noise-absorbing foam bonded inside the tire cavity. This innovation markedly dampens airborne vibration, cutting road and resonance noises that typically infiltrate EV cabins and elevating overall driving comfort."

Other features include Nexen's Silent Ride acoustic foam, which absorbs sound waves inside the tire for a quieter ride; 4D compound and optimized load distribution to maintain grip stability and enhance tread life; a "pattern-retention" tread design that preserves traction characteristics even after 50% wear, extending real-world performance;" and more.

With this latest fitment, Nexen "now supplies OE tires for every model in Kia’s EV portfolio – from EV3 through EV9 – highlighting the company’s growing role as a trusted partner in global electrification projects," say Nexen officials.
