Giti Creates Website for its Dealer Program

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. has launched a website to support its GT Radial Smart Program that provides marketing support funds, online training, and point-of-sale materials for participating dealers.

To start using the site, www.gtradialsmartprogram.com, Giti wholesalers and direct retailers should contact their regional sales manager to receive log-in details. The program is available to U.S. tire dealers who carry GT Radial passenger and light truck tires.

“The GT Radial Smart Program is designed to help our dealers reach more customers, push sales, and be smart about tires and business,” says Joe Anzelmo, senior manager of marketing, advertising, and promotions for Giti.  “The website will help our dealers more efficiently utilize the program and thus work smarter.”

For GT Radial wholesalers and direct retailers, the GT Radial program provides a 2% accrual on their invoices, which can be used for promotions such as Internet ads, billboards, newspaper ads, TV/radio spots, dealer events, and more. Up to 25% of these marketing support funds can be used to purchase point-of-sale (POS) materials, plus item such as T-shirts, hats, and sunglasses.

To participate, at least one employee must complete all the PCR/LTR training modules in the GT Radial online training program, www.treadacademy.com.

All participating dealers may receive a GT Radial marketing kit that includes: one tire stack cover, one tire stand, two window decals, six tire inserts, and 10 product catalogs. POS merchandise can be obtained by participating wholesalers and dealers through the program website. In addition, a light box which can be requested through the regional sales manager.

The GT Radial Smart Program enables wholesaler’s customers (associate dealers) to earn $1 cash credit per tire when they buy 100-250 units in a quarter, $1.50 per tire for 251 to 500 units per quarter, and $2 per tire for more than 500 units per quarter.

To get started, associate dealers must sign a confidentiality agreement, submit an opening order of 24 tires to their distributor, display GT Radial POS from their marketing kit (if kit is requested), and have at least one employee from the store complete all the modules in the GT Radial online training program. Sales associates get a free GT Radial backpack with completion of the training modules.

A premium signage program also is available for associate dealers who purchase a minimum of 500 units per quarter per store. There is a limit of one sign per store.
