Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT-Tyres) has introduced several new tires for earthmoving applications, including the EarthMax SR 45 (E4), which has been designed for dump trucks.
The EarthMax SR 45 contains an all-steel casing, a special tread design for maximum traction, deeper tread "for excellent mileage," and a special wear- and cut-resistant compound, according to BKT officials. It is available in size 24.00R35.
The Roadmax IT-696 has been designed for earthmoving machines that operate in winter conditions. Available in size 480/80R30, it contains "optimum tread depth for longer life," a wide footprint for more contact area, and other features.
"The IT-696 is specially designed to carry higher loads at higher speeds, up to 40 miles per hour," say BKT officials.
The Multimax MP 522 is for backhoes and utility tractors. Available in size 460/70R24, it has been designed with aggressive tread lugs for maximum traction, reinforced steel belts with an extra-strong casing, a special tread compound, and other features.
Also new from BKT is the Forestech wide base, which has been engineered for forestry harvesters and forwarders. It contains strong casing construction, a reinforced bead and shoulder area and other features.
