Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) will introduce several new tires, including four Firestone brand passenger tires, at the Chicago Auto Show, which starts on Feb. 12

The new Firestone tires include:

* Firestone Precision Touring, which will be available in 20 sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 17 inches. The tire contains a wide footprint, circumferential groves, and other features.

* Firestone Precision Sport, a high perfomance all-season tire that will be available in 17 sizes. The tire also comes with a 40,000-mile limited tread wear warranty.

* Firstone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500, which BATO calls "the new ultra-high performance flagship for the Firestone brand." The tire provides "high response and powerful braking performance and is tuned for both wet and dry handling." It comes in 40 sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches.

* Firestone Destination ST, a sport truck tire that comes in 18 sizes and boasts an asymmetric, non-directional tread design. The H-, V- and W-rated tire also comes with a 40,000-mile limited tread wear warranty.

"It is clear that there's an increased demand for Firestone as our value brand," says Phil Pacsi, vice president, U.S. and Canada Consumer Tire Marketing, BATO. "We've listened to the voice of the customer and we're excited to be bringing four new Firestone brand tires to market to hit every key segment... including cars, trucks, SUVs and CUVs."
