Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has signed two new distributors in the United Kingdom, Micheldever Tyre Services and N.E. Wholesale.
The signings "will prove to be an important milestone for the growth and long-term success of Toyo in the U.K.," says Nick Manning, marketing manager for Toyo Tyres U.K.
Manning notes that the agreements do not constitute "exclusive brand arrangements with either distributor. Instead, its foundations are built on a principle of distribution synergies and mutually beneficial geographical coverage.
"That means that whilst our two distribution partners will establish a network of Toyo dealers that they will serve, this will only be done in areas where Toyo U.K. does not have any existing direct dealers."
Michelever Tyre operates 12 distribution centers throughout the U.K.
