Purcell Tire to Add D/C, Fleet Repair Facility

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. is investing $5.3 million in a new, 44,000-square-foot distribution center and fleet repair shop in its hometown of Potosi, Mo.

Purcell Tire’s new facility will streamline its distribution processes and enhance its vehicle maintenance services, reinforcing the company's "commitment to providing top-notch service," according to Purcell Tire officials.

The distribution center will be Purcell Tire's sixth warehouse, according to MTD research.

“Purcell has been an active member of the Washington County community for decades,” says Roger Lucas, CEO of Purcell Tire & Rubber Company. “We are excited about this new venture and we are excited about the prospect it brings for growth to the community and our employees. The collaboration and commitment between the teams to advance this project has been excellent and we want to extend our thanks to all those who made this possible.”

“We have become the leading OTR tire retreader in the world,” say Bob and Juanita Purcell, owners of Purcell Tire, who add that the new facilities will add 10 jobs initially. “We hope it will end up being 60!”

Bob and Juanita Purcell were the recipients of MTD's Tire Dealer of the Year Award in 2004.

With 78 locations, Purcell Tire is the 17th largest tire dealership in the United States, according to the newly published 2024 MTD 100.
