TireHub Will Open 2 More Distribution Centers in 2019

Sept. 24, 2019

TireHub LLC plans to open two new distribution centers in a pair of new markets during the fourth quarter of 2019.

The company says it will open TireHub Logistics Centers (TLCs) in Lakeville, Minn., and Columbia, S.C. Specific opening dates for the centers will be announced in the future.

“Lakeville represents a significant opportunity for TireHub,” says Peter Gibbons, TireHub CEO. “This facility will service the broader Minneapolis area, and we have many existing customers with a footprint in that market. Adding a TLC here allows us to strengthen those relationships, as well as partner with more dealers and retailers to help grow their business.

“In Columbia, we have customers who are currently served by TLCs in neighboring markets. Establishing a presence here allows us to meet their needs with more frequent deliveries and exceptional personalized service. It also offers us an opportunity to reach more customers throughout South Carolina with increased deliveries.”

The tire distribution company born out of a 2018 collaboration by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Bridgestone Americas Inc. The expansions in Lakeville and Columbia follow TireHub's first new market expansion — in Ft. Myers, Fla.

The company also has relocated centers in Austin, Knoxville, Mobile, Oakland and Las Vegas to meet demand in those markets.

Sylvia Wilks, vice president of operations for TireHub, says, “Every center we have relocated has been because we want to do more for our customers. We see the demand for our premium Bridgestone and Goodyear products, and we are committed to our promises of superior service. We are always excited for new opportunities and look forward to providing personalized, unparalleled service in Lakeville and Columbia.”

TireHub operates 69 logistics centers in the U.S. and they stock passenger and light truck tire product lines from Goodyear and Bridgestone, including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Firestone, Fuzion, Kelly and LeMans tires, as well as Toyo, Goodyear and Kelly commercial tires.
