The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has finalized the list of participants for its Passenger Vehicle Tire Safety Symposium, to be held Dec. 9-10 in Washington, D.C. The event will be chaired by NTSB Member Earl Weener.
Representatives from government and industry will serve as panelists and will address issues related to factors involved in tire disablement, safety recalls and consumer awareness, ongoing safety-related initiatives, and advances in tire technology.
Panelists include representatives from Michelin North America Inc., Continential Tire the Americas LLC, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Bridgestone Americas Inc., as well as the Tire Industry Association and Rubber Manufacturers Association.
The two-day event is open to the public. It will be held in the NTSB board room and conference center, 429 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C. Additionally, it will be webcast live at http://www.capitolconnection.net/capcon/ntsb/ntsb.htm, and an archive of the webcast will be available on the NTSB website.
