Tire Group International LLC's (TGI) Cosmo Tires brand joined forces with automotive technology students at Western Iowa Tech Community College on a classic vehicle that was among the top 10 SEMA builds at the 2025 SEMA Show.

More than 30 students spent six months turning a worn-out, rusted truck into a hand-built 1972 Chevy Blazer that was custom-made and Cosmo Tires added the finishing touches with a pair of 35X12.50R17LT Mud Kickers, known for their sidewall design, deep tread pattern and Quiet Kat Technology. Cosmo Tires first teamed up on a 1950 Pontiac build with WITCC for the 2024 SEMA show.

Shane Sampson, who has been teaching at Western Iowa Tech Community College for 23 years, says he feels proud watching his students learn valuable skills for their careers.

"Watching them learn these skills and being able to independently apply them to virtually any vehicle is very fulfilling for me as their instructor,” says Sampson.

"Working with Western Iowa Tech gives us the chance to invest in young talent while building something truly special for SEMA,” says Tony Gonzalez, CEO of TGI. “This Blazer project embodies what Cosmo Tires stands for — performance, creativity, community and lifestyle.”
