What was your first job in the industry?

Atturo Tire Corp. is my first job in the tire industry.

What attracted you to the industry?

I became a car enthusiast about seven years ago after being introduced to the world of automotive customization by my now-husband. Over time, that interest grew into a passion I never knew existed in me. As I started getting hands-on with car projects, and having a deeper understanding in car customization, I developed a deeper understanding of vehicles. This naturally led me to the tire industry, where I combined my automotive knowledge with my problem-solving abilities.

What is the biggest challenge you've faced in your career?

One of the biggest challenges I have been faced with in my career so far has been learning to come out of my shell and feel comfortable around new people. In the beginning, I struggled with not knowing what I'd be walking into each day, new faces, different expectations, and unfamiliar situations. But I was confident enough to know that in order to grow and succeed, I had to push past that discomfort. I made a real effort to stay open, ask a lot of questions, and connect with those around me. Over time, I have built the confidence to be able to show I am capable and dependable to be part of the team and this company.

Who has had the biggest influence on your career?

The biggest influence in my career has been my husband. As a business owner himself, he's always led by example and inspired me with his work ethic and drive. From the beginning, he has always pushed me to be better, be confident, and believe in my own potential. From facing challenges and pursuing new opportunities, he has supported me every step of the way. He certainly plays a factor in shaping the confidence and determination that is part of me today.

What is your biggest accomplishment in the industry?

My biggest accomplishment as an accounting clerk has been contributing to the overall organization and efficiency of the company. I started off as a customer service representative and was then transferred to the accounting department. Even though I am behind the scenes in the industry, I have played a key role in keeping financial records accurate and also addressing customers concerns.

Tell us about your current job and responsibilities. How do you spend your workday?

In my current role as an accounting clerk, my day-to day responsibilities involve a mix of routine and supporting projects. I post cash accurately to customers accounts, ensuring payments are applied correctly.  I also send out monthly statements and address any discrepancies related to invoices, payment, or account balances. In addition, I process credit memos, update changes in customer files, and assist with audits when needed. I am also available to support other accounting projects or tasks where I can be of help. My focus is keeping things organized, accurate, and running smoothly to support both my team and our customers.

Tell us about your family.

I feel truly blessed to have grown up in a loving and supportive family unit. My parents have always been there for me, encouraging me in everything I do. My parents have done everything they could to give me and my brother the best life possible. My dad worked incredibly hard, sometimes holding down three jobs. My mom was right there beside him, working and supporting our family every step of the way. They have always wanted better for us than they ever had, and I will always admire and be thankful to them both. Their dedication and sacrifices have shaped who I am today. I am the "baby" of the family, I have an older brother, who is a mechanical engineer, and we are incredibly close. I have one 3-year-old nephew who I adore, so I always thank my brother for bringing a little joy into our lives. Last but not least, my husband has been a huge blessing in my life, constantly supporting and inspiring me along the way.

What is the most essential professional skill for someone in your job?

I believe the most essential professional skills for someone in this job are staying organized, staying focused and having patience. Organization is key when you are handling multiple accounts, payments and customer records. Focus helps prevent errors and ensure small details are accounted for. Also, patience is very important when resolving discrepancies or working with customers who may be frustrated or confused.

What song takes you back to high school? (Include the artist)

“If I Lose Myself” by Alesso and OneRepublic

If you could start a new career tomorrow, what would you do?

I think I would want to become a content creator which usually includes marketing and maybe dig into the journalist/news world.

Do you live by inbox zero, or inbox disaster?

A little bit of both. I prefer my work inbox to be at zero, but my phone inbox is a disaster.

In the next 10 years, what will be the biggest change in the tire industry?

I would predict that in the next 10 years the tire industry might have smarter, sustainable, and EV-optimized tires, maybe even airless tires. The curiosity of the unknown will keep me guessing.

What moment in life would you like to live over again?

I would love to be a kid again, and see my parents be young again and reunite with all my family members more often as we did then.

What hobby or activity helps you unwind?

Running and working out. My daily routine after work includes either going to the gym or going for a run, this helps me unwind for the day. It makes me feel accomplished.

If it was your job to persuade new people to join the tire industry, what would be your best selling point?

I believe my best-selling point would be that everybody needs tires. I believe it is an industry that will always exist, in demand and will always thrive regardless of the competition.

What's one thing you would change about yourself?

One thing I would change about myself is becoming more comfortable with visibility. Since I was young, I always tended to avoid being the center of attention, but I know that putting myself out there could open up bigger opportunities.

Pick a celebrity and explain why you think he/she would be a great tire dealer.

I would pick Zendaya because she is young, relatable and has a big influence on the younger generation currently. She has a versatility in her character and is very likeable.
