American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has opened a new distribution center in Louisville, Ky., that is bigger than its previous warehouse in that city.
"ATD has been operating in the Louisville market for more than 35 years and with the opening of this new building, will continue demonstrating its long-term commitment to tire and auto service providers," say ATD officials.
The new warehouse will employ 45 associates and will serve tire dealers across 53 counties, from Bloomington, Ind., to Leitchfield, Ky., and from Evansville, Ind., to Richmond, Ky.
It features energy-saving lights, an improved customer pick-up area, new equipment and more.
“After 22 years in our previous Louisville location, we are excited to introduce the community to our new home,” says Stuart Schuette, ATD president and CEO.
“This D/C is bigger and newer than our previous location, allowing us to better service our customers across the Commonwealth and southern Indiana."
A ribbon-cutting event was held on April 12.
