Pirelli's MIRS plant in Rome, Ga., gets recertified

Pirelli Tire LLC, which does business as Pirelli Tire North America, has successfully achieved two recertifications for its MIRS (Modular Integrated Robotized System) plant in Rome, Ga.

Both UNI EN 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality management system requirements are coupled together for use in the automotive supply chain.

"Achieving ISO/TS 16949:2002 registration is a fundamental part of doing good business and essential to supply our original equipment and replacement tire customers," says Andrew Kearton, vice president of manufacturing and original equipment sales at Pirelli Tire North America.
