Yokohama Tire Corp. is extending its support of the High Fives Foundation for a fourth consecutive year.

The tiremaker supplies GEOLANDAR truck and CUV/SUV tires to Return to Dirt, High Fives Foundation’s adaptive motorsports program for individuals with mobility impairments.

Return to Dirt offers driving experiences ranging from frozen lakes to forest trails. Participants drive specially adapted Polaris RZRs equipped with hand controls and modified GEOLANDAR M/T G003 SxS tires.

“Yokohama fully supports and aligns with High Fives Foundation’s vision of creating a universal shift in adventure sports that expands what is possible for those who have faced life-changing injuries,” says Melissa Aguirre, Yokohama’s manager of brand marketing.

“We’re pleased to be a part of High Five’s athletes’ on- and off-road experiences through their Return to Dirt program.”

In addition to supplying tires for the Return to Dirt fleet, Yokohama provides tires for High Fives Foundation towing trucks and supports the organization’s fundraising efforts through sales teams and customers at local events.

“Having Yokohama on board lets us deliver experiences to our adaptive drivers that are unprecedented,” says Tim Burr, Return to Dirt program manager. “We drive on ice with studs, access high mountain terrain in dirt and share desert experiences on rocks, all thanks to Yokohama.”

Off-road racer and Team Yokohama member Kristen Matlock also recently attended a Return to Dirt event.

“I came to Return to Dirt thinking I would inspire adaptive athletes,” says Matlock. “Instead, they changed me.”

High Fives Foundation CEO and founder Roy Tuscany says Yokohama’s support extends across the nonprofit’s mission.

“We value partnerships with like-minded brands and Yokohama is a brand that totally aligns with our core values,” says Tuscany. “Yokohama supports the entire mission of the organization and helps us achieve the vision of being the safety net of the outdoor sports community.”
