Nama Tires Will Expand Manufacturing Base

Dec. 1, 2021

Nama Tires Inc. is expanding its manufacturing footprint in order to supply more tires to the North American market. The company “has chosen Serbia as (our) new production base,” says a Nama spokesman.

Production in Serbia is scheduled to start in February 2022 and “we are looking at the next March-April (timeframe) to ship out the first container to the United States.”

By manufacturing in Europe, Nama officials say the company will be able to “work around” duties that have been imposed on consumer tires built in Thailand and other southeast Asian countries.

Nama also is expanding its Maxxploit XT light truck line by adding 65 SKUs during March 2022.

Nama officials say the company is committed “to bringing more valuable and lasting products to its customers, building (its) supply chain more efficiently and cutting unnecessary costs and lead times.”
