Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. is continuing its push into the Pacific Northwest with the acquisition of Coopers Auto Repair Specialists, which has a location in Tacoma, Wash., and another in Puyallup, Wash.
The acquisition is Sun Auto Tire's third of 2022.
The Tucson, Ariz.-based company bought Superior Tire Inc., which had four locations in Arizona, this past April. It also acquired Good Neighbor Tire & Service, which had two stores in Washington and two outlets in Oregon, this past May.
Sun Auto Tire now has 369 stores across 18 states, with plans for additional growth.
It's the sixth largest independent tire dealership on this year's MTD 100 list, which can be viewed on page 34 of the July 2022 issue of MTD.
