Hankook will up inventory in N.J. by 70%

Hankook Tire America Corp.’s new warehouse in Dayton, N,J., will be open for business sometime within the next few months, according to the company.

The warehouse measures slightly more than 400,000 square feet and can hold close to 610,000 passenger, light truck and commercial tires. It has 70% more capacity than the warehouse it is replacing, which is located in Edison, N.J.

Hankook decided to open a larger warehouse in the region because of its "continued increase in sales and market growth," according to a company spokesman.

"Hankook Tire America Corp. does not have any... plans for additional new warehouse activity in the immediate future."H
