Big O Tires LLC executives discussed strategic plans, shared operational updates and honored top-performing franchise locations at its 2014 convention. More than 750 franchise owners, managers and corporate staff attended the three-day event in San Diego, Calif.
Big O Tires is one of six TBC Corp. brands. Convention speakers included TBC CEO and President Erik Olsen, Big O Tires Executive Vice President Kevin Kormondy and Big O Tires Vice President of Marketing Kim McBee.
The goal of the annual convention is for franchisees to learn and share valuable ideas that they can bring back to their individual store teams and incorporate into everyday business operations, according to the company.
The company presented its “Point of Light Award” to Dutch Tryon, owner of two Big O Tires stores in Topeka and Lawrence, Kansas. The Point of Light Award recognizes extraordinary franchisees that have contributed to the Big O organization with their knowledge, expertise, and dedication.
Scott Koldenhoven, owner and partner of 12 stores in Colorado and New Mexico, received the International Franchise Association (IFA) Franchisee of the Year award. Big O recognizes one franchisee annually for outstanding results and dedication to growing the Big O brand.
Standing “O” awards were presented to franchisees and corporate staff for going above and beyond to support Big O by serving on committees, helping fellow franchisees and team members, or providing outstanding customer service. Honorees included:
