The Nexen Roadian GTX will be the original equipment (OE) tire for the 2027 Kia Sorento, a hybrid model of the automaker's mid-size SUV.

Designed specifically for SUVs, the Roadian GTX "delivers strong braking performance and long tread life, while maintaining a balance of quiet operation and ride comfort," according to Nexen officials. "A specially formulated compound provides consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures, supporting reliable braking and a comfortable ride. Its zigzag pattern design distributes ground pressure evenly and minimizes vehicle pull while driving." 

The tire also features improved mileage performance that "extends replacement intervals, meeting the durability and efficiency requirements of hybrid SUVs." 

The Roadian GTX will be fitted in a 17-inch size for the Kia Sorento in North America.

The Roadian GTX has also earned OE fitments on other SUV models, including the Kia EV5 and EV6, the Renault Filante and the Jeep Cherokee.
